A report from MMAFighting.com has the Ultimate Fighting Championship canceling the upcoming UFC 128 event in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emierates this March.
The headliner for the event, a UFC light-heavyweight title bout between Maurico “Shogun” Rua vs. Rashad Evans has already been rescheduled to a new venue at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. It’s not known whether this event will happen on the same March 19th event and become UFC 128, or if this will be tagged as another event entirely.
The UFC made its first trip to Abu Dhabi last April with the UFC 112: Invincible event, which was headlined by a lightweight title bout between former champ BJ Penn and current champ, Frankie Edgar.
