Live, blow-by-blow updates for Saturday’s UFC event in Singapore, which is headlined by welterweights Donald Cerrone and Leon Edwards.

Join us today (Saturday, June 23rd) on Bloody Elbow for live results, discussion, round scoring and play-by-play as UFC Fight Night: Cowboy vs. Edwards takes place at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore.

The main event sees #11 welterweight Donald Cerrone square off against #13 ranked Leon Edwards in a five-round battle. In the co-main event, light heavyweights collide as #7 Ovince Saint Preux faces #13 Tyson Pedro.

Live results and play-by-play will commence with nine preliminary card bouts, starting at 4:30 AM ET/1:30 AM PT. The four-fight main card airs at 8 AM ET/5 AM PT, with all thirteen contests streaming on UFC Fight Pass. The full lineup and schedule is as follows.

Song Kenan vs. Hector Aldana

Round 1 – Aldana starts off with a hard inside leg kick to Song’s lead leg. Aldana surges forward with a four-punch combination as Song backs up. Aldana continues to commit with his punches. Song throws a spinning hook kick. Aldana is bleeding from the right eye, but continues to land hard shots. Aldana catches a kick and scores a takedown, but Song gets back up immediately. Aldana catches another kick and once again turns it into a single-leg takedown, but Song gets back up as well. 10-9 Aldana

Shinsho Anzai vs. Jake Matthews

Round 1 – Both men immediately engage and scramble towards the fence. Anzai pushes Matthews towards the fence, but Matthews is able to land hard knees. Matthews establishes clinch and scores a takedown. After a few scrambles and landed elbows, Matthews establishes back control, locks his left arm under Anzai’s chin and squeezes. Anzai taps.

Yan Xiaonan vs. Viviane Pereira

Round 1 – Yan opens up with a high kick. Pereira remains tentative. Yan continues to land her combinations, mixing up kicks and punch combinations. Pereira finds her range in boxing and lands a three-punch combination. Yan switches to more boxing attacks and is throwing lesser kicks. Both women trade strikes towards the end of the round. 10-9 Yan

Round 2 – Yan lands a hard inside leg kick, and follows up with two more after. Pereira remains tentative as she absorbs all of Yan’s constant leg kicks. Yan mixes up her attacks with hard jabs. Pereira lands from boxing range, landing three-punch combinations. Yan continues to punish Pereira’s lead leg with hard kicks. Both women end the round the same way as the first. 10-9 Yan

Round 3 – Yan continues to keep the fight in kicking range. Pereira begins to move forward, but is unable to connect with her punches. Yan throwing lesser kicks this round. Yan throws a lead leg hook kick, but misses. Pereira able to control the range better. Round ends with both women exchanging hard punches. 10-9 Pereira

Yan Xiaonan defeats Viviane Pereira via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 30-27)

Matt Schnell vs. Naoki Inoue

Round 1 – Inoue lands a hard leg kick, but Schnell opens up with punches. Schnell feints a takedown, but lands a hard left. Schnell lands another hard punch, and is getting more comfortable with his distance. Schnell lands another hard combination. 10-9 Schnell

Round 2 – Inoue finally gets more comfortable with striking. Schnell lands a hard two-punch combination. Both men keeping the action on the feet. Inoue lands a crips jab. Schnell lands a left hook. Inoue having more success with his stiff jabs, but Schnell lands hard leg kicks as well. Schnell lands a hard teep off a feint. 10-9 Inoue

Round 3 – Schnell has a small cut by his right eye. Inoue still landing crips jabs. Schnell shoots for a single-leg, but Inoue reverses and attempts a single-leg takedown of his own. Inoue clinches pushes Schnell towards the fence. Schnell gets out and brings the action back to the center. Schnell lands another leg kick to Inoue’s lead leg. Schnell lands a hard jab of his own, and continues to punish Inoue’s lead leg. Both men land hard right hands. Inoue lands a two-punch combo. Schnell lands a combo of his own. Inoue lands a left hook, and follows it up with a right high kick. 10-9 Inoue

Matt Schnell defeats Naoki Inoue via split decision (29-28 28-29 29-28)

Jenel Lausa vs. Ulka Sasaki

Round 1 – Sasaki immediately shoots for a low single-leg takedown. Lausa is unable to defend, but remains calm. Lausa tries to establish guard, but Sasaki moves around it with ease. Sasaki also calm with his pass attempts, throwing no strikes while transitioning. Lausa unable to get back on his feet as Sasaki continues to barrage forward and pass. Lausa gets back on his feet and attempts a guillotine. Lausa lands elbows, but gets taken down again. Sasaki almost establishes back control, but Lausa recovers half guard. Lausa gets back to his feet, but Sasaki immediately pushes the action to the fence. Both men scramble the center of the cage. Sasaki passes to mount, Lausa scrambles out. Sasaki ends the round with an unorthodox armbar attempt. 10-9 Sasaki.

Round 2 – Lausa manages to keep the action within striking range and lands a hard inside low kick. Sasaki shoots for a takedown, but Lausa stuffs it. Sasaki lands a left high kick through Lausa’s guard. Sasaki shoots and Lausa sprawls, but Sasaki reverses position. Sasaki passes to side control as Lausa the left arm with his legs. Sasaki passes back to side mount then to full mount and lands punches. Sasaki rolls over, gets back control slides his left arm under Lausa’s chin, and tightens. Lausa taps.

Melinda Fabian vs. Ji Yeon Kim

Round 1 – ?Both women keep the fight on the feet, but it is Kim who is landing more crisp combinations. Fabian mixes up her strikes, while Kim sticks to pure boxing. Kim mixes up strikes as well, landing leg a leg kick, followed by a two-punch combo. Fabian lands her counters, but eats a left hand as well. Kim lands a big right that lands hard and snaps Fabian’s head back. Both women clinch, with Kim’s back against the fence. 10-9 Kim.

Round 2 – Both women begin tentative. Kim begins with aggressive combos, which were halted by Fabian by clinching. Fabian pushes Kim towards the fence, but Kim gets out of the clinch. Kim not rushing her combos as the action goes back to the center of the cage. Fabian lands a clean straight right. Kim lands a hard left hand. Fabian keeps distance by throwing teep kicks. Kim continues to land her left hands. Kim continues to press forward and throwing hands. Kim lands another right hand as the ten-second clapper sounds. Fabian takes Kim down, but Kim immediately reverses position. 10-9 Kim.

Round 3 – Fabian’s left eye is starting to swell. Kim continues to land clean punches and counters. Kim lands a hard right. Fabian constantly on the defense, being pushed back towards the fence. Kim lands a leg kick. Both women clinch, with Kim once again being pushed towards the fence. Fabian lands some knee strikes. Fabian continues to push Kim towards the fence, getting wrist control. Kim gets out of the fence, but Fabian reverses and pushes the action back tot he fence. 10-9 Fabian.
