UFC Vegas 18 will be down one main card fight later tonight (Sat., Feb. 6, 2021) live on ESPN+ from inside UFC APEX in Las Vegas, Nevada, as a featherweight scrap between veteran Cody Stamann and Octagon newcomer Askar Askar has been scrapped.
According to a recent UFC press release, Askar was not medically cleared to compete. The bout has not been rescheduled as of now and there is no time to find Stamann a replacement opponent.
Stamann, who is coming off a decision loss to Jimmie Rivera back on July, was originally scheduled to fight streaking contender Merab Dvalishvili at this event. That was until Dvalishvili pulled out last month and was replaced by Andre Ewell, who was also forced out of UFC Vegas 18 earlier this week. Ewell was replaced by Askar, who would have been making his Octagon debut again Stamann, but now that fight has been canceled as well.
UFC Vegas 18 will now proceed with 12 total bouts. Check out the updated lineup below:
