The reports are in following the UFC’s latest even in Las Vegas, and it looks like seven fighters are facing potential long layoffs, including Alistair Overeem, who suffered a broken nose in his main even bout with Alexander Volkov.
With another UFC Fight Night in the books, it’s time to tally up the damage and see who just might be spending a large chunk of the rest of the year healing up from injury. UFC Vegas 18 may not have gone big on the violent fight finishes – even if Cory Sandhagen served up more than enough for everyone – but it has left a lengthy injury report in its wake.
Most notably, former title challenger and headlining attraction Alistair Overeem suffered a busted nose in his main event bout against Alexander Volkov, which could keep him sidelined until early August. Joining him are Alexandre Pantoja, Manel Kape, Karol Rosa, and Devonte Smith—all of whom appear to have suffered some form of hand injury. Mike Rodriguez and Joselyne Edwards are also on the extended injury list, due to potential shoulder injuries.

MIKE RODRIGUEZ – Suspended until Aug. 6th, pending MRI on left shoulder and doctor’s clearance. Minimum suspension until Mar. 9th, no contact until Feb. 28th.
