The UFC Apex Center in Las Vegas, Nevada was home to a great night of fights at UFC Vegas 19: Blaydes vs. Lewis. The event saw seven (T)KOs, four decisions and one submission.

Starting with Sergei Spivac’s TKO of Jared Vanderaa, the preliminary card had plenty of action. After a two-year layoff, Aiemann Zahabi scored a one-punch KO against Drako Rodriguez. That was followed by Casey O’Neill picking up a TKO win in her UFC debut against Shana Dobson.

The string of knockouts continued as Julian Erosa stopped Nate Landwehr with a flying knee and punches in less than a minute. John Castaneda knocked out the veteran Eddie Wineland to pick up his first UFC win. The only fight to see the judges’ scorecards on the prelims was Jared Gordon’s one-sided win over Danny Chavez.

The start of the main card saw rising British prospect Tom Aspinall submit the veteran Andrei Arlovski with a rear-naked choke. Darrick Minner dominated Charles Lisa to win a lopsided unanimous decision. Back in the heavyweight division, Chris Daukuas’ unbeaten UFC run continued with a first-round TKO against Aleksei Oleinik. Former title challenger Yama Kunitskaya won a unanimous decision against Ketlen Vieira in the co-main event.

In the main event, Derrick Lewis picked up his fourth consecutive win with a devastating one-punch KO against Curtis Blaydes in the second round. Following the knockout, Blaydes took a long time to get back to his feet but was eventually ok.
