Live, blow-by-blow updates for today’s UFC event in Vegas on ESPN and ESPN+, which features a key light heavyweight matchup on top.

Join us today (May 8) on Bloody Elbow for live results, discussion, round scoring, and full play-by-play as UFC Vegas 26: Rodriguez vs. Waterson goes down at the APEX facility in Las Vegas.

The main event was supposed to be former UFC bantamweight champion TJ Dillishaw taking on top contender Cory Sandhagen. However, that bout was scrapped when Dillashaw sustained a nasty cut in training. Replacing that bout is Marina Rodriguez vs. Michelle Waterson in the flyweight division. These two usually fight at strawweight, but the hastily put together replacement fight comes with an extra weight allowance for both fighters.

The co-main event has Donald Cerrone taking on Alex Morono, who is stepping in on short notice after Cerrone’s previous opponent—Diego Sanchez—was released from the UFC. Also on the main card are bouts between Neil Magny and Geoff Neal and Phil Hawes vs. Kyle Daukaus. Amanda Ribas vs. Angela Hill was scrapped after Ribas’ positive COVID test.

This card also lost a pair of prelim bouts yesterday. Ben Rothwell vs. Philipe Lins is off after Lins got sick. And Ryan Benoit vs. Zarrukh Adashev is off after Benoit looked terrible on the scales attempting to make weight.

The main event for this one kicks off at 8PM ET on ESPN and ESPN+ The six-fight preliminary card is scheduled to start at 6pm ET/3pm PT on ESPN+.
