The UFC has announced a pair of bouts to different Fight Night cards in August.
Coming off a close split decision loss to Rafael Natal in May, TUF 17 runner-up Uriah Hall will return to the cage against 57-fight MMA veteran Joe Riggs at the UFC Fight Night 73 card in Nashville, Tennessee, on Aug. 8.
Hall (10-5) attempts to get back on track after getting his three-fight winning streak snapped against “Sapo”, while Riggs (40-16, 1 no-contest) looks for his first win since getting back to the UFC in 2014.
UFC Fight Night 73 takes place at the Bridgestone Arena and features Glover Teixeira vs. Ovince Saint Preux in the main event.
The second match-up announced by the promotion is scheduled for Aug. 23. Marcos Rogerio de Lima vs. Nikita Krylov, initially booked for UFC Fight Night 69, moved to UFC Fight Night 70, and then cancelled due to visa issues, will finally take place at the UFC Fight Night 74 card in Saskatoon, Canada.
Krylov (18-4) enters the bout coming off a pair of first-round wins under the UFC banner against Cody Donovan and Stanislav Nedkov. de Lima (13-2-1), who competed at TUF Brazil 3 as a heavyweight, stopped Richardson Moreira in 20 seconds in his UFC debut and finished Igor Pokrajac in under two minutes in his return to the light heavyweight division.
UFC Fight Night 74 is scheduled for Aug. 23 at the SaskTel Centre, featuring Max Holloway taking on Charles Oliveira in the main event.
