Welterweight Kamaru Usman took to Twitter to challenge Colby Covington and held nothing back.

TUF 21 competitor Kamaru Usman has set his sights on his next challenge and held no words back when taking it public. As the rising UFC welterweight posted on Twitter, Usman would like to take on fellow contender Colby Covington in Rio de Janeiro at the upcoming UFC 224 card.

Currently, Usman (12-1) is on a seven-fight winning streak and undefeated in the Octagon. He holds wins over notable names such as Sergio Moraes, Warlley Alves, Sean Strickland, and most recently Emil Meek. He has been active in calling ranked fighters out of late, believing that no one above him wants to step into the Octagon with him.

Covington (13-1) is on a five-fight winning streak and defeated former title challenger, Demian Maia, in his last outing. His sole loss came in December 2015, when he was finished by Warlley Alves via guillotine choke. Covington has got on the bad side of many with his antics in the last few months, drawing criticism for his comments about Brazilians and seemingly everyone else.

UFC 224 will take place in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil on May 12th and has no headliners confirmed as of yet. However it is rumored to be headlined by a women’s bantamweight title fight between champion Amanda Nunes and challenger Raquel Pennington.
