UFC Welterweight champion Kamaru Usman opens as a large favorite against former two-divison champ Conor McGregor.

Oddsmakers expect Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Welterweight champion Kamaru Usman to maul former two-division king Conor McGregor if they were to ever fight.

Bet Online published their official odds for a potential scrap pitting Usman vs. McGregor. The early odds list “The Nigerian Nightmare” as a seven-to-one favorite over “The Notorious” one.

Kamara Usman vs Conor McGregor

Kamara Usman: -700 (1/7)
Conor McGregor: +450 (9/2)

Many fans online tweeted that Usman was a steal at those odds, believing the Welterweight champ should be an even larger favorite.

Usman (19-1) and McGregor (22-6) are rather far apart when it comes to momentum. Usman is undefeated dating back to his third pro-fight, winning 18 straight including 14 straight in the UFC and four successful defenses of the welterweight crown. He is expected to rematch Colby Covington at UFC 268, reportedly taking place at Madison Square Garden in New York City, New York on Sat., Nov. 6.

McGregor’s finest stretch saw him win 15 consecutive fights, including seven straight in the Octagon and a first-round knockout over Jose Aldo to capture the UFC Featherweight title. In his last seven fights, despite capturing the UFC Lightweight title to become a simultaneous two-division champion, McGregor has gone 3-4. In his last outing, McGregor lost to Poirier for the second time in a row after breaking his leg (watch here) at the end of round one.
