Vasyl Lomachenko vs. Miguel Marriaga fight card and preview this Saturday on ESPN

This Saturday check out arguably the best boxer in the world today, live on ESPN. Details are here.

Saturday night is your chance to see the man considered by some analysts to be the best boxer on the planet today. Vasyl Lomachenko is undeniably one of the best technical boxers in the world, and he will be defending his WBO Junior Lightweight (130 pound) world title against Miguel Marriaga Saturday on ESPN.

At just 8-1 (6 KOs) Lomachenko is not only a 130 pound champion, he’s already a two division champ, having previously won gold at 126 pounds in just his 3rd pro fight. Lomachenko came to pro boxing after an insanely impressive amateur career that included two Olympic gold medals and a record of 396-1. He’s looking for the toughest challengers in every single fight. This will be a good showcase for Lomachenko, but it won’t be a serious challenge – Marriaga (25-2; 21 KO) has some decent wins, but is coming in off an April loss to Oscar Valdez, and is moving up in weight. He’s here to show off Lomachenko to a wider audience.

Lomachenko vs. Marriaga is the second fight in the new partnership between Top Rank and ESPN. The two have already presented the Manny Pacquiao vs. Jeff Horn card, and are scheduled for Terence Crawford vs. Julius Indongo on August 19.

The Lomachenko vs. Marriaga card airs live on ESPN this Saturday, August 5 with a fight time of 10:00 p.m. ET. Also included on the card is Ray Beltran vs. Bryan Vasquez in a good fight. Join Bloody Elbow Saturday night for live fight night coverage of Lomachenko vs. Marriaga.
