Savio Vinicius, a staggeringly tall Brazilian featherweight, dropped his debut to Celso Mao de Pedra via unanimous decision.

Just how much weight can one cut for an MMA fight?

Even though we have seen athletes such as UFC contender Zabit Magomedsharipov, who towers over opponents with his 6’1’’ stature, a Brazilian 22-year-old by far outdid the Russian, hitting the 6’6’’ mark, but cutting all the way down to the 145 division. Seriously.

Savio Vinicius took on 43-year-old veteran and 5’4” Celso Mao de Pedra at Favela Kombat 31, and he struggled in his MMA debut. Although the difference in height and physical stature between both fighters was shocking to say the least, it didn’t stop the older fighter from controlling the action, which led Mao de Pedra to a unanimous decision win after three rounds.

The fight was posted in its entirety on Web Esporte TV’s Facebook page, where the fight between Savio Vinicius and Celso Mao de Pedra begins after the one hour and 25 minutes mark. You can watch it below:
