Like father, like son.
Kalyl Silva, the 22-year-old son of UFC legend Anderson Silva, impressed on his kickboxing debut.
We already knew the younger Silva was going to be a problem, but his first bout couldn’t have gone any better. The fight didn’t last long and Kalyl just needed exactly one strike to finish his opponent Anthony Reynaga.
Five seconds into the amateur kickboxing bout, Kalyl dodges a leg kick, then darts back in range with a perfectly placed switch kick that knocks him down. The referee started the count, and the fight is called off roughly 11 seconds into the contest.

Silva, who is also a football player, is now officially 1-0 in his young kickboxing career. His 24-year-old older brother, Gabriel Silva, has a bit more fighting experience and is currently undefeated with two amateur kickboxing titles.
They’ve all come a long way since that iconic family photo taken during Anderson’s UFC title reign.
Next month, it will be their father’s turn to compete, as the long time UFC middleweight king faces off against Tito Ortiz in a boxing match for Triller.
