Conor McGregor was in full owner mode earlier tonight (Sat., Nov. 2, 2024) at BKFC 68 from inside Utilita Arena in Newcastle, England, as the former UFC champion was ringside to celebrate a collection of violent finishes, including one that made “Notorious” get out of his seat and slam a beer.
Fight fans have been waiting for McGregor to finally make his return to UFC, but the former two-division champion has been hindered by injuries and slowed by stalled fight negotiations. Instead, the Irish superstar is staying busy in between training by taking care of his businesses, traveling on his massive yacht, and playing part-owner for Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC).
The outspoken and controversial McGregor has been making the rounds of late, injecting considerable buzz into BKFC and the cities the promotion has been visiting. McGregor was back again on Saturday to witness the bareknuckle action up close and personal at BKFC 68 in England.
The main card featured a lightweight scrap between English fighters Ben Bonner and Lewis Keen. It didn’t take long for the two men to exchange in heavy combat as McGregor cheered ringside. Bonner would be the one to eventually find the home for a massive right hand with less than 20 seconds left in the first round. Keen was down and out as Bonner walked off with the knockout finish.
McGregor, who sees dollar signs with a stoppage like this, quickly stood up and proceeded to celebrate with Bonner. The two slammed beers and put a nice touch on a tremendous performance by “The Bomber.”
