Watch Bella Mir secure her second pro win by choking her opponent out cold.
Featherweight MMA prospect Bella Mir, 17, won her second pro fight last night. The daughter of former UFC heavyweight champion (and future Hall of Famer) Frank Mir secured her win, at iKON 4 in Sonora, Mexico, in a fashion that was certain to make her dad proud.
Watch below as Mir takes Alma Cespedes’ back and works for a rear naked choke. Once she gets the hold, Cespedes either doesn’t know what’s up or is too tough to tap. So Cespedes went to sleep, giving Mir the first round technical submission victory.

Mir’s first pro win came at iKON 2 in October. There she beat Danielle Wynn by unanimous decision.
Mir’s father was one of the more notorious and prolific submission artists in the UFC’s heavyweight history. He’s also the owner of some of the most memorable submissions in MMA/UFC history.

At UFC 48 in 2004 Mir won the vacant UFC heavyweight title by technical submission, after he broke Tim Sylvia’s arm with an armbar. Four years later, at UFC 81, he upset Brock Lesnar with a kneebar. At UFC 140 Mir got a technical submission over Antonio Rodrigo Nogueira, after he popped Big Nog’s shoulder out with a kimura.
Mir left the UFC in 2016 and signed with Bellator MMA. His first fight in Bellator was a TKO loss to Fedor Emelianenko. He then lost by TKO to Javy Ayala. Mir’s last fight was a unanimous decision win over Roy Nelson at Belator 231 last October.
