Police body-cam footage records a women’s accusations against UFC light heavyweight Jon Jones.
Jon Jones was arrested and charged with one count of misdemeanor battery in July. That charge stems from a reported incident that occurred at a strip club in Albuquerque, NM in April. Jones had plead not guilty to the charge.
KRQE News 13 in Albuquerque has published police body-cam footage, which it says shows Albuquerque Police interviewing the woman who made the criminal complaint against Jones.

In the video, the woman says the following to a group of police officers:
Jon, like, put his arm around here or something , pretty tight, and I was like, oh you’re going to put me in a choke hold.
I got out of the thing, and as soon as I did that, he just like picked me up and you know, flipped me over whatever, and just started rough housing with me.
The issue is that when he put me back down over by the bar, he like smacked my p****.
The whole situation is so complicated. I’m not really sure what to say. This person gets away with f****** everything.
At one point, he had me sit on his lap and stuff, and then he pulled me on his lap. When I was sitting on his lap, he started kissing on my neck and all this s***, and they’re not supposed to do that.
In a later segment of the video, one of the officers tells the woman, “So, you don’t know if you, as of right now, if you want to press charges or not because you feel like he’s quote/unquote untouchable?”
Her response to this is, “It’s f****** Jon Jones, what am I supposed to say about that?”
The officer then advises her that someone’s celebrity status should not matter when it comes to reporting a possible crime. A criminal complaint was filed in relation to this matter on April 23rd.
A warrant was issued for Jones’ arrest after he failed to appear for a bond arraignment. It has been claimed that Jones’ failed to appear because a letter notifying him of the case failed to reach him. Jones has since posted bond.
A judge found probable cause to support the battery charge and a bench trial has been set for September 26th.
This is not Jones’ first run-in with the law. The most notable case involving Jones happened on April 27th, 2015, also in Albuquerque. That incident included a vehicle collision that caused a pregnant driver to suffer a broken arm. That case resulted in Jones pleading guilty to one charge of leaving the scene of an accident (that caused great bodily harm or death) in exchange for a conditional discharge.
As punishment Jones received a period of probation, which expired on March 27th, 2017.
Jones’ legal troubles, paired with drug test violations, have interfered with his pro-fight career over the past few years; resulting in fight cancellations and stripping of titles.
Jones returned to somewhat regular activity in the UFC cage in December 2018, with a win over Alexander Gustafsson for the vacant UFC light heavyweight title. He defended that belt in March and July of this year.
