Not surprisingly, a brawl almost erupted at the UFC 196 pre-fight press conference today (Thurs., March 3, 2016) between featherweight champion Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz prior to their anticipated bout this Saturday from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.
After a heated back-and-forth press event full of plenty of trash talk, Diaz extended his fist into McGregor’s face at the post-presser staredown, inciting the Irishman to slap his hand away and a scuffle to break lose. Several event security and even a Nevada Sheriff were on hand to separate the two, but it definitely added even more intrigue to an already massive bout.
