Brock Lesnar is doing the media runs ahead of his return at UFC 200, and he recently joined ESPN’s Highly Questionable for an interview. In the segment, the WWE and UFC star seemed quite comfortable as he opened up and spoke candidly about various topics.
Among the things discussed was the last time he was in a street fight, his former “best friends” Vodka and Vicodin, and the most “romantic” thing he ever did — which was apparently a huge prank on his wife, Rena (more known by wrestling fans as Sable). Watch the entertaining segment above.
“I don’t know if this is romantic or not but it is funny. When my son turned 1 year old I took my wife on a tropical vacation and the people that were watching my son – I told my wife, ‘we’re going away. Leave your wedding band at home because I don’t want it to get stolen.’ So while we were gone I had the people that were watching my kids take her wedding band and say that my son swallowed it. In the meantime they found a picture of a wedding ring inside a kid’s stomach on x-ray from the internet.”
“So when we got home, the story was all layed out. It was our 5 year anniversary and I wanted to get my wife a new wedding band. And my poor wife took it upon herself – I shouldn’t even tell this story – to search for the wedding ring in dirty diapers.”
“For 2 days my wife searched high and low for her wedding ring and then we had our wedding vows renewed 2 days later and I issued her a new wedding band for our 5 year wedding anniversary. Now that’s romantic.”
Lesnar has been away from Mixed Martial Arts for years, and last competed back in December 2011. The former UFC heavyweight champ will make his return to the Octagon against PRIDE and K-1 vet Mark Hunt on July 9th.
