One of the best in the business will return to action tomorrow night (Sat., Sept. 14, 2024) LIVE on DAZN pay-per-view (PPV) from inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, as the always-entertaining Canelo Alvarez puts his WBA, WBC and WBO super middleweight titles on the line against undefeated knockout artist Edgar Berlanga.

To much surprise, Alvarez vs. Berlanga will be going toe-to-toe against UFC 306 on Saturday night. UFC 306 is making history as the promotion’s first event from inside The Sphere, but the boxing powers that be still felt comfortable booking Canelo’s return on the same night. Fight fans will have to juggle both events, but honestly it’s a good problem to have after a few dull combat weekends.

Alvarez, who is coming off a unanimous decision win over Jaime Munguia this past May, has won his last four fights since suffering a disappointing loss to Dmitry Bivol back in 2022. The Mexican superstar still looks to be one of the very best boxers in the sport, which is why Canelo is a massive betting favorite to take care of business this weekend against Berlanga.

On Friday, the two boxers took to the stage for final weigh ins and one last staredown. There’s been a decent amount of trash talk leading into this weekend so security was on high alert in case someone decided to get frisky. Luckily, cooler heads prevailed. That won’t be the case on Saturday night.
