Conor McGregor was in full form last night (Fri., Mar. 17, 2017) in New York City, New York, when he came to the Big Apple to support Irish boxer Michael Conlan, who made a successful professional debut by knocking out Tim Ibarra in just three rounds inside Madison Square Garden. With the lights bright and the cameras rolling, McGregor took the opportunity to address the world of boxing, proclaim he’s about to take over and suggest that a superfight with Floyd Mayweather Jr. is right around the corner.
While a zillion things have to go McGregor’s way to take over a sport he has never participated in, the mixed martial arts (MMA) superstar was able to shut down New York City for some timely St. Patrick’s Day partying. Check out McGregor’s bar-hoping night in the above video courtesy of TMZ Sports.
Currently on a hiatus for the birth of his first child, McGregor deserves a night or two to walk around in a tailored green suit, throw back a few drinks in some of New York’s wildest spots and finally respond to the ongoing trashtalking by “Money.” This may be one of the last times McGregor can let loose before getting back to training and preparing to step inside the boxing ring.
