Cuban power-puncher Yunier Dorticos scored an accidental KO during training.
WBA “regular” cruiserweight champion Yunier Dorticos (22-0, 21 KOs) is preparing for his big matchup against Murat Gassiev (25-0-1 NC, 18 KOs) in the World Boxing Super Series semifinals. Nicknamed “The KO Doctor,” the Cuban standout was recently filmed doing pad work with his trainer Eric Castanos, and I have a feeling that Dorticos knocking Castanos out with a left hand was not supposed to happen.

Ouch.
According to Castanos, it’s only the second time he’s ever been knocked out in his life, and that “these things happen between a coach and a pupil.”
Dorticos will take on Gassiev on Saturday, February 3rd in Sochi, Russia. The winner will advance to the World Boxing Super Series final in May, against the winner of Oleksandr Usyk vs. Mairis Breidis.
