Video: Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones go head-to-head in (not so) heated joint interview prior to UFC 214

A week before their highly-anticipated rematch at UFC 214 on July 29, 2017 in Anaheim, California, current Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) Light Heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier and ex-division king Jon Jones conducted an interview with Brain Stann during the UFC on FOX 25 telecast last night (Sat., July 22, 2017) in Uniondale, New York.

And much to everyone’s surprise, the joint interview lacked the fire, the heat, the spark that comes with anything “Bones” and “DC” related. Though, it seemed Cormier was trying his best to bring it out of Jones, Jon simply wasn’t having it, keeping his answers short, sweet and to the point.

In fact, even Stann seemed a bit uncomfortable with the whole scenario.

That said, it could simply be that Jon is laser-focused with the task at hand, as he looks to reclaim his strap after more than a year away from the fight game. But, before “Bones” walked out of the interview immediately after they were dismissed, he managed to sneak in a “fuck DC” in there.

Nevertheless, there won’t be a shortage of bitterness and fire in the next week leading up to perhaps the most anticipated rematch in UFC history, which will also carry with it one of the best cards of the year.
