Derrick Lewis takes his training camp to the race tracks.

The one-time UFC heavyweight title contender drove his custom twin turbo Lamborghini to Quick 30 in Houston, Texas for a couple of passes. It was Lewis’ first time driving the Lamborghini Huracan. The luxury vehicle has been fitted with a pair of turbos by Late Model Racecraft.

In the video, Lewis can be heard telling the cameraman he wants to clear the quarter mile passes in under 10 seconds. In his first two passes, however, the “Black Beast” passed the mark just a hair over 10 seconds. Considering it was Lewis’ first-time behind the wheel of this decked out Lambo, chances are he can hit the nine-seconds range with a little more practice.

Lewis has never been known for his speed, regularly tipping the scales near the 265-pound heavyweight limit. Inside his Lamborghini, however, Lewis has no problem exceeding 140 miles per hour.

Unfortunately, no matter how fast Lewis moves he can’t seem to escape the “hot balls” joke. At one point in the video, you can hear the man behind the camera bust out a “hot balls” quip only to elicit what could barely constitute as a chuckle from Lewis.

Lewis, 34, earned a hefty $530,000 disclosed pay for his UFC 230 fight with heavyweight champion Daniel Cormier. That number does not include any pay-per-view points or discretionary bonuses Lewis may have earned for the short-notice performance at Madison Square Garden.

Lewis will once again headline a UFC card when he meets former champion Junior Dos Santos at UFC Wichita on March 9.
