Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) superstars Nate Diaz and Jorge Masvidal will finally lock horns again this weekend in a highly-anticipated rematch inside of the boxing ring.
Remember, the two combat veterans first met all the way back at UFC 244 for the inaugural “BMF” title. Masvidal, who was one of the hottest fighters in the sport at the time, won the title with a TKO stoppage over Diaz. It was a massive moment in the career of “Gamebred” even if he went on to lose his next four fights inside of the Octagon.
Diaz, who ended his UFC career with a submission win over Tony Ferguson at UFC 279, is coming off a unanimous decision loss to Jake Paul in Aug. 2023. It was Diaz’s professional boxing debut, but one he probably wants back. That’s because Diaz was knocked down by Paul and didn’t look all that well inside of the ring.
Before Masvidal and Diaz square off again this weekend live on DAZN pay-per-view (PPV) and UFC Fight Pass both fighters stepped on stage for final weigh ins on Friday (video replay HERE). After that, they came together for an intense faceoff to set the stage for their long-awaited rematch.
