Tyron Woodley and Jake Paul kept talking smack in their first face off.
Tyron Woodley and Jake Paul had their first public face off on Thursday. While there weren’t any gotcha hat shenanigans, there was a lot of smack talk involved along with a purse bet from the YouTuber-turned-boxer.
“If you win, I’ll double your purse,” Paul told Woodley. “But if you lose, you have to donate your purse to my charity.”
Woodley’s camp claims this will be a multi-million dollar payday and a career-high purse for the former UFC champion, while Paul will earn even more than that, including the “lion’s share” of the event revenue.

The talking of course didn’t stop there, and both of them followed up online after. Paul took to social media and proclaimed victory, trolling Woodley for not taking the bet during the face off.

“The 5x UFC champ wouldn’t take the bet,” Paul wrote. “ @TWooodley you don’t have enough confidence to put your money where your mouth is ”
Woodley did respond on Instagram though, writing “Put it in blood” as a response.
Paul vs Woodley happens on August 28, and will be a PPV carried by Showtime. The former UFC champion expects to box more after this debut, and if he wins, the rematch clause in his contract could be enforced.
