Tonight ‘The Korean Zombie’ Chan Sung Jung takes on Brian Ortega in a bout, that has been a long time coming, which will determine the number one contender for the UFC featherweight title (currently being held by Alexander Volkanovski).
The last time we saw TKZ in the Octagon was last December in the main event of UFC Busan in South Korea. There Jung took on former UFC lightweight champion Frankie Edgar, who was coming off an unsuccessful title fight with Max Holloway.
Jung came into this one after a TKO win over Renato Moicano in Greenville, South Carolina last June. That fight happened after his epic, but ultimately losing effort, versus Yair Rodriguez in November 2018.
In Busan Jung didn’t take long to find an answer for Edgar. He battered Edgar from the get go and only took three minutes to finish the fight. Watch the video (via UFC/YouTube) above to see how Jung stalked, stormed and then stopped one of this generation’s greatest small guys.
