Following the official UFC 202 weigh-ins on Friday evening, a still-amped-up Nate Diaz spoke with UFC’s Megan Olivi backstage and shared his thoughts on the atmosphere at the weigh-ins and what to expect when he and Conor McGregor re-enter the Octagon on Saturday night.
“It’s what it is,” Diaz said of the weigh-ins in Las Vegas today. “We weighed in, we faced off and now it’s time to go, so it’s all good. I’m expecting a fight. Tune in, we’re gonna get down.”
Near the end of the brief interview, Diaz finally woke up a bit — seemingly out of nowhere — and began turning on the Stockton charm.
“You should have brought an army motherf**ker,” an even more worked up Diaz said. “Should have brought everybody because it’s goin’ down if we see you.”
It’s going down alright. 10 o’clock in the east, 7 in the west and as Chael P. Sonnen would say, “ONLY on pay-per-view”!
UFC 202: Diaz vs. McGregor 2 takes place from the new T-Mobile Arena on Saturday night in Las Vegas, Nevada and airs live exclusively on pay-per-view.
