It’s been tough to find Jon Jones over recent months, but the former UFC light heavyweight champion popped up on social media on Wednesday during a YouTube video posted by lightweight contender Donald Cerrone.
While the video largely features Cerrone working out with fellow UFC lightweight Paul Felder, Jones can be seen working his grappling game with Kyle Noke after the 10-minute mark. Cerrone asks the embattled fighter “so what have you been doing? Just a lot of training?” Jones replies “yeah, soul searching.”
Jones has been something of a hermit since his alleged hit-and-run incident in April which saw him stripped of the UFC title and suspended indefinitely. He has not posted on his Twitter or Instagram accounts since, and has been tough to find. The last time he was spotted was in July, giving a speech to a group of children at a Boys and Girls Club. He was also spotted in June, snapping photos with students at a wrestling seminar held by his wrestling coach, Israel Martinez.
While it’s tough to guess what the future may hold for Jones, at least then and there, he seemed happy.
