An enticing boxing match between Jake Paul and Mike Perry will unfold tomorrow night (Sat., July 20, 2024) live on DAZN PPV from inside Amalie Arena in Tampa, Fla., but first fight fans got to see “Problem Child” and “Platinum” exchange in one final faceoff.
Paul was originally scheduled to fight the legendary Mike Tyson this month before a bad ulcer knocked him out of commission. That allowed Perry to step in and give himself a prime opportunity to be the first person to stop Paul inside of the boxing ring. Perry has been smashing competition as a bareknuckle boxer so wearing gloves should be a nice change of pace.
While Perry doesn’t possess the same boxing skills as Tyson he’s still a super durable and very aggressive opponent for Paul. “Problem Child” remains the sizeable betting favorite to take care of business on Saturday night, but fight fans shouldn’t be surprised if Perry gives the social media star a run for his money.
On Friday, the two fighters stepped on the scale for an early official weigh ins (watch HERE). Hours later, Paul and Perry were back for ceremonial weigh ins (replay HERE). They stepped on stage for one final time before squaring off for a truly intense staredown, which ended in trash talk and shoving. Check it out below:
