Dominick Reyes absolutely torched former UFC title challenger Anthony Smith earlier tonight (Sat., Dec. 7, 2024) at UFC 310 LIVE on ESPN+ pay-per-view (PPV) from inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, stopping “Lionheart” with a violent second-round TKO (punches).

This was all Reyes from the opening bell. Smith may have landed a few punches in the first round, but “Devastator” was in full control. Smith tried to rely on his grappling in the second round only to find himself pinned along the fence getting elbowed in the side of the head. One of Reyes’ attacks eventually hit the right spot and Smith fell to the canvas. He looked like he was giving up, but he battled back and hung in there.

Unfortunately, Reyes was able to partially gain back control alongside the cage and started to work. He was searching for some rear-naked choke attempts while mixing in solid punches. Smith tired even more and it allowed Reyes to unload his final strikes and force the referee’s hand.

Check out the video highlights below:

Reyes, 34, has been a feel good story in 2024. The former UFC light heavyweight title challenger hit a rough patch when he lost four fights in a row from 2020-2022, but he’s returned this year to capture two knockout finishes. Saturday’s destruction of Smith should lead to a shot at the top 10 for Reyes in 2025.
