We’re now three months through 2021, and already there’s been a crop of phenomenal UFC moments from the year worth revisiting. So it’s extra nice that BT Sport, the UFC’s official broadcaster in the UK, has put together the above compilation video documenting the best odds and ends to happen in and around the Octagon thus far.
Sadly, you’ll still need a UFC Fight Pass subscription to see all the wild and crazy knockouts, submissions, and finishes from the first 11 events of the year. But that kind of highlight video is common stuff. This captures some of the stranger, more endearing moments.
Like, for example, UFC middleweight Julian Marquez’s Valentine call out of Miley Cyrus (which worked … until it didn’t). There’s Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier backstage after UFC 257 giving each other props. Michael Chandler going full WWE promo after his quick win over Dan Hooker.
And Khabib. Lots and lots of Khabib, from mocking his teammate’s poor English to laughing at “Big Mouth” Kevin Holland’s request for advice in the middle of his fight. May ‘Coach Khabib’ be a regular fixture at events for years to come.
There is some fight-centered stuff in there too, like Max Holloway dipping effortlessly around Calvin Kattar’s punches while declaring himself the best boxer in the UFC. All in all, a video worth seven minutes of your time! Check it out.
