While helpful for the fighters, the early weigh-ins have caused some trouble for officials.

Alistair Overeem showed up late Friday morning to weigh-in for his UFC 203 heavyweight title fight vs. Stipe Miocic, as the Ohio Athletic Commission fined him $500. The bout, though, will still proceed.

Miocic weighed in at 246 pounds for Saturday night’s main event from Cleveland, while Overeem came in at 248.5.

CM Punk, making his MMA debut at welterweight, weighed in right at 170 pounds.

Michael McBride, who accepted a lightweight bout with Nik Lentz on short notice, missed weight. He weighed in at 158 pounds and will forfeit 20-percent of his fight purse to Lentz.
