On Monday evening, UFC released their “Extended Preview” video for their next pay-per-view, which just so happens to be the landmark UFC 200 event.
Embedded above is the video UFC posted on their official YouTube channel this evening, which takes a closer look at the top four fights scheduled for UFC 200.
First up, Daniel Cormier and Jon Jones talk about their rivalry and rematch for the light heavyweight title. From there, we see the recap of Brock Lesnar’s UFC return and hear from both he and his opponent, Mark Hunt. Then, we move on to the UFC Women’s Bantamweight title fight between Miesha Tate and Amanda Nunes before ending with a brief look at the Jose Aldo vs. Frankie Edgar rematch for the interim UFC Featherweight title.
The official description for the UFC 200 extended preview video seen above reads as follows:
“Stacked with three world title fights and the return of one of UFC’s elite superstars, the historic UFC 200 event will thrill fans around the globe. In the main event, the most intense rivalry in combat sports reaches a boiling point when Daniel Cormier defends his light heavyweight title against interim champion Jon Jones. After facing off for the first time in January 2015, a lot has changed on the 205-pound landscape, leaving “DC” and “Bones” to settle the score, once and for all. Plus, it’s the return of Brock Lesnar, as the former UFC heavyweight champion battles veteran knockout artist Mark Hunt. But that’s not all, as Miesha Tate puts her bantamweight title on the line against Brazil’s Amanda Nunes, and Jose Aldo faces Frankie Edgar for the interim featherweight title in another anticipated rematch.”
UFC 200 is scheduled to take place on Saturday, July 9, 2016 from the brand new T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada. Join us here at MMANews.com on 7/9 for live coverage of the UFC 200 pay-per-view event.
