Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is just days away from its upcoming UFC 230 pay-per-view (PPV) mixed martial arts (MMA) event, looked and loaded for Madison Square Garden in New York City on Sat., Nov. 3, 2018.
Headlining the “Big Apple” event will be the late addition of Daniel Cormier vs. Derrick Lewis, as “DC” puts his heavyweight title up for grabs against the power-punching “Black Beast.” Their headlining affair was cobbled together on short notice to avoid a veritable disaster at the box office.
“Sarj” it would appear, is not in charge.
In the middleweight co-headliner, Ronaldo Souza ditches former opponent David Branch to replace the injured Luke Rockhold to battle former UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman. The winner could be in line for the next title shot, depending on how things play out between Robert Whittaker and Kelvin Gastelum.
