The evolution of Sage Northcutt has already begun. After moving his training over to Team Alpha Male in California and dedicating all of his time to fighting, “Super” has made big strides inside of the Octagon.

Most recently, Northcutt put forth his most complete performance to date in a unanimous decision win over Michel Quiñones at UFC Fight Night 120. While the 21-year-old has a long way to go before entering the lightweight top 15, he’s beginning to show he can combine discipline with raw athletic talent.

How does “Super” get so good? Maybe it has something to do with this insane kettlebell workout (shown above courtesy of Fancy Combat). While this isn’t the proper use of a kettlebell, Northcutt’s movements and reaction time are pretty impressive given the size of the weight.

As long as Northcutt stays under the tutelage of TAM head coach Urijah Faber he should develop nicely in 2018 as one of the division’s fastest growing talents. That’s saying a lot considering the kid has just 11 professional bouts (six in the UFC) and competes in the deepest class around.

Northcutt is currently scheduled to take on French prospect Thibault Gouti at UFC Fight Night 126 this February.
