Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) is getting ready to mark 25 years in mixed martial arts (MMA) with a special “UFC 25 Years in Short” documentary, which as the name suggests, will be compromised of 25 separate (short) stories neatly packaged in one “Silver” presentation.
The video drops this August, but you’ll need UFC Fight Pass to watch it.
A lot has happened over the last 25 years and the sport that was once labeled as “human cockfighting” has now become a global phenomenon. Of course, UFC wasn’t the only MMA promotion around, as PRIDE FC and a few others were also making their mark in their respective territories.
If and when the promotion decides to mark its 25th anniversary with a special pay-per-view (PPV) fight card, much like it did for year 20, remains to be seen, but I have a hard time believing UFC would pass on the opportunity to pat itself on the back.
Time will tell.
