We are just one week away from Conor McGregor’s main event clash with Donald “Cowboy” Cerrone at UFC 246 and the promos are really starting to pile up.
With McGregor, who hasn’t won a fight inside of the Octagon since a knockout victory over Eddie Alvarez back in 2016, making his awaited return to fighting, UFC has had to put in a little extra effort over the past two months to make all of UFC 246’s marketing memorable.
The promotion already dropped the ball for UFC 246’s official fight poster so now it is making up for lost time.
The newest “McGregor vs. Cerrone” promo, which can be seen in the above video player, was released earlier today by none other than UFC president Dana White. The extended breakdown features the rise and struggles of McGregor inside of the Octagon while pointing out Cerrone’s impeccable finishing ability and confidence to give all he has against “Notorious.”
It’s pretty chilling, especially considering McGregor’s matchup with “Cowboy” has all the ingredients to be one of the most entertaining bouts of 2020.
UFC 246 will go down on Jan. 18 live on ESPN+ PPV from inside T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, with McGregor vs Cerrone being contested at 170 pounds.
