Vinny Magalhaes has been forced to cancel another bout.

“Pezao” was expected to meet Keenan Cornelius at Metamoris 3 on Saturday night, but he was pulled from the bout due to a staph infection. On Monday morning, Titan FC president and CEO Jeff Aronson informed MMAFighting.com that Magalhaes is also out of Titan FC 28 main event against fellow UFC veteran Jason Brilz.

“Vinny is out of Titan 28 main event,” Aronson told MMA Fighting’s Ariel Helwani. “He’s in the hospital on antibiotics. He’s been keeping me up on everything.”

Brilz, who scored three straight wins since leaving the UFC in 2011, is awaiting a new opponent for the April 25 card at the Memorial Hall in Kansas City, KS.

“A replacement is being sought as I text this,” Aronson added. “My phone has been ringing off the hook since Vinny had to back out of Metamoris. No opponent for Brilz yet.”

Titan FC 28 will also feature Dave Herman and DJ Linderman, Brock Jardine vs. Daniel Roberts and Ricky Legere Jr. vs. Todd Moore.
