Wanderlei Silva: I can prove the UFC fixed fights

Wanderlei Silva is not happy with the UFC — and threatens to “prove” the promotion fixed fights.

The former PRIDE champion, who built a 4-5 record inside the Octagon since the end of the Japanese show in 2007, posted on his social media that the UFC fixed fights, and he has ways to prove it.

“They fired him. Yes, they fired (Jacob ‘Stitch’) Duran for taking a stand on this robbery against athletes, so I ask: why won’t they fire me?” wrote Silva, who was banned from the Nevada Athletic Commission after evading a random drug test and admitting he was using a diuretic at the time.

“I said I don’t want to work for this company anymore, and they won’t fire me. That’s what happens with those who speak the truth in this company — they are driven out. They have no respect for anyone. I made it clear for all of you that I won’t ever fight for this event again, UFCircus! Fixed fights, and I can prove it. I haven’t dropped the bomb yet, I haven’t said what I know.”

MMAFighting.com contacted Silva for a comment on the alleged proof he has that the UFC fixed results, but the fighter did not respond.

“The Axe Murderer” tried to work for other companies after getting banned by the NAC, and ended up signing a deal with Bellator to join other MMA veterans on a Bellator 131 “official pre-party kick off,” but the UFC stopped him due to contractual obligations. Silva, who started criticizing the promotion since the drug test controversy in 2014, compared the UFC fights to WWE.

“You do what they tell or you get fired,” he said. “I won’t give up until they let athletes free. This promoter is killing our sport. There are fighters coming back to other jobs to provide for their families, because they can’t live from the sport only, because they are not paid well. We are getting united, and I will have news soon, my brothers in the ring. They tried to buy me, but I’m not and will never be for sale. I will fight until the end to unmask these promoters who are deceiving the people, cheating, and taking away the dignity of our sport. It’s becoming WWE with fixed fights. We have to stop these guys, this is the end of the line for us.”
