Seven arrest warrants have been issued for the capture of War Machine, the recently released Bellator welterweight formerly known as Jonathan Koppenhaver, in regards to the alleged brutal assault of ex-girlfriend Christy Mack, representatives of the Las Vegas Police Department (LVPD) confirmed to MMAFighting.com on Tuesday.
The warrants read as following:
- 1 count battery resulting in substantial bodily harm
- 1 count battery by strangulation
- 2 counts battery with substantial bodily harm
- 1 count open and gross lewdness
- 1 count assault with deadly weapon
- 1 count coercion/threat with force
According to a statement made by Mack on Monday, Machine allegedly broke into her house in the early hours Friday, August 8th, assaulted an unnamed victim, then viciously beat Mack, resulting in a litany of injuries that included 18 broken bones, several missing or broken teeth, and a ruptured liver.
Representatives from the LVPD confirmed to MMAFighting.com on Monday that Machine is currently wanted as the “primary suspect” of an alleged incident that occurred at approximately 4 a.m. on Friday, August 8, in which two victims suffered “severe but non-life threatening injuries.”
As of this writing, Machine is still at large.
