Donald Cerrone will try to continue his divisional resurgence tomorrow morning (Sat., June 23, 2018) at UFC Fight Night 132 live on Fight Pass from inside Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore, when he takes on streaking welterweight contender Leon Edwards.
In preparation for Cerrone’s main event clash with “Rocky,” UFC has opened up its vault and released one of the better performances in the career of “Cowboy” in the latest edition of “KO of the Week.”
This time around the action focuses on Cerrone’s UFC 206 clash with fellow fan favorite Matt Brown. The welterweight bout was pegged as one of the most enticing matchups of 2016, but “Cowboy” ultimately stole the show when he delivered an epic third-round head kick knockout that finally put “Immortal” to rest.
That memorable finish can be seen above courtesy of UFC.
Only time will tell if Cerrone can put together a similar performance opposite Edwards this weekend in Singapore. Cerrone doesn’t have much to prove at 35 years of age, but a decisive victory over a young and hungry name like Edwards should allow “Cowboy” to regain any divisional momentum he lost over the past 18 months.
