Drake brushes up on his boxing combinations.

It is time to get Conor McGregor or Max Holloway to stand in Drake’s corner.

Drake is always upping his street cred, from his days as a wheelchair bound high school student on Degrassi to his rise as one of modern hip-hops premiere stars. Now, it seems Drizzy is brushing up on his boxing combinations to compliment his braggadocios lyrics.

Professional boxer and trainer Hino Ehikhamenor posted two videos of Drake hitting the pads. The “God’s Plan” rapper’s technique is not half bad either. He hits the mitts with power and turns his hips into the cross; however, he might want to keep that $120 million chin down.

The Toronto-native is a big combat sports fan. He hyped up Floyd Maywhether and McGregor’s World tour stop in Toronto and wore the Irish flag at the UFC 229 weigh-ins. Drake also cheered on Holloway at UFC 231 and alludes to the UFC featherweight champion in “8 Out of 10” from his Grammy nominated double album Scorpion.

Drizzy already has a number of people he could throw down with in the Octagon. There is his wildly popular beef with fellow rapper Kanye West. Then there is Eryk Anders, who once called Drake the “ultimate bandwagon fan.” Perhaps Khabib Nurmagomedov would like smash the rapper for siding with McGregor. Or maybe, just maybe, Drake is staying fit and is content being one of the wealthiest hip-hop artists of all-time.

This all raises an interesting question: does the Drake curse exist if Drake is the one fighting?
