The legendary Fedor Emelianenko will make another trip to the cage later this evening (Sat., Dec. 28, 2019) at Bellator 237 live on Paramount Network and DAZN from inside Saitama Super Arena in Saitama, Japan, as “Last Emporer” tests his aging skills against a bulked-up Quinton “Rampage” Jackson.
The main event affair is expected to be just the first stop on Fedor’s upcoming retirement tour as the 43-year-old veteran closes out one of the most storied careers in MMA history. It will also represent a true throwback fight in the sport as Fedor and Jackson avoided one another for years under the PRIDE banner.
In advance to Fedor’s return to action, Bellator MMA was kind enough to release some of the best finishes in the career of “Last Emperor,” which can be seen in the above video player.
While Emelianenko doesn’t possess the same striking prowess he did over a decade ago the seasoned vet still packs a serious punch. After all, Fedor’s two wins under the Bellator banner have both been first-round knockouts.
“Rampage” better be careful or he’ll be added to this impressive highlight reel in front of a familiar Japanese crowd.
