Fight fans witnessed combat sports history earlier tonight (Fri., Dec. 6, 2024) at BKFC 69 from inside Gas South Arena in Duluth, Ga., as featherweight fighter Justin Watson pulled off the impossible and stopped his opponent with an all-time best two-second knockout.
Combat sports fans are no stranger to quick knockouts. Whether it’s Jorge Masvidal’s legendary five-second finish over Ben Askren at UFC 239 or Uly Diaz’s three-second knockout at BKFC 14, there have been quite a few jaw-dropping stoppages throughout history. But what happened Friday night at BKFC 69 was something in a league of its own.
In just the second fight on the main card, Watson squared off with fellow featherweight Cole Ferrell. The two men were brought to the center of the ring, touches fists, and got ready to brawl. Once the fight officially started Watson lunged in and unloaded a ridiculous right hand. It connected perfectly and sent Ferrell crashing to the canvas. The referee immediately rushed in to put a stop to the fight with just two seconds off the clock.
It was an incredible moment for Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC) and two-seconds of violence that fight fans will never forget once they see it. Check it out in the above video player and let us know where it ranks among the all-time greatest knockouts in history.
