As is becoming the trend for smaller UFC on ESPN+ events, there was no live post-fight press conference after UFC Fight Night: Pettis vs. Wonderboy, held at the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee. There was, however, a series of media press scrums with a number of the big winners from the event.
On a night that features a main event clash between two-time welterweight title challenger Stephen Thompson and former UFC lightweight champion Anthony Pettis, a co-headliner pitting heavyweight contender Curtis Blaydes against rising prospect Justin Willis, a very important flyweight bout between undefeated finisher Deiveson Figueiredo and submission specialist Jussier Formiga, an anticipated flyweight bout showcasing rising star Maycee Barber and veteran JJ Aldrich, and the Octagon return of “Violent Bob Ross” Luis Pena, there will be a lot to talk about after the action winds down.
