If victorious at tonight’s WEC 50 event, headliner and title challenger Joseph Benavidez stands to get more than the WEC bantamweight belt; he’ll also get an event-high $35,000 payday.

Keith Kizer of the Nevada State Athletic Commission today emailed the preliminary figures to MMAjunkie.com.

Benavidez’s disclosed payday, which calls for $17,500 to show and $17,500 as a possible “win bonus,” tops champion and fellow headliner Dominick Cruz’s $11,000/$11,000 deal.
