The former WEC featherweight champion recently dropped to 140 pounds in a “test cut” to see how his body would respond to a weight he hadn’t been at since college.

He’s now confident he’ll be on point for his bantamweight debut against Takeya Mizugaki in the headliner of next week’s WEC 52 event, though he doesn’t promise to make 135 pounds.
