Brian EbersoleAnother bout appears to be on target for Augusts UFC 133 event, as longtime mma veterans Brian “Bad Boy” Ebersole (47-14-1, 1NC) and Dennis “Superman” Hallman (43-13-2, 1NC) have agreed to meet in a welterweight bout.

News of the bout was first reported by MMAjunkie.com, who noted that only verbal agreements have been made between the two fighters at the time of reporting.

UFC 133 has yet to be announced, but is expected to take place on Aug. 6 at the Wells Fargo Center in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The event recently added a high profile middleweight bout between Yoshihiro Akiyama vs. Vitor Belfort.

Despite a sixty-two fight pro-career, Ebersole didn’t make his UFC debut until last February when he replaced an injured Carlos Condit at UFC 127 in Sydney, Australia. The American born fighter, who headed “down under” in the fall of 2006, faced UFC veteran Chris Lytle in his debut, earning a unanimous decision as well as the “Fight of the Night” bonus. That victory was Ebersole’s eight straight win, and his twelfth in thirteen fights. The only loss in that stretch was a middleweight title bout against Hector Lombard for the Cage Fighting Championships title in September of 2008.

Hallman is in his fifth tour with the UFC, having gone 2-1 in his latest stretch, but is 3-4 with the promotion. The 59 pro-fight veteran last appeared in the octagon last November, earning a first round TKO victory over a returning Karo Parisyan as part of the UFC 123 card in Michigan. Previous to that, “Superman” won a unanimous decision over Ben Saunders at UFC 117, and was knocked out by John “Doomsday” Howard at the “TUF 10 Finale”, putting his record at 6-1 in his last seven matches.
