FX 6 Australia Friday Dec 14 Middleweight Bout Rousimar Palhares VS Hector Lombard

UFC on FX 6 is expected to take place on December 15, 2012 in Australia at a city and venue to be named by the promotion. The event should host the finals of the “TUF: The Smashes” reality series pitting fighters from the United Kingdom and Australia against one another.

Palhares had his three fight win streak stopped by Alan Belcher in May as part of the UFC on FOX 3 show. Belcher was able to fend off all of ‘Toquinho’s’ submission attempts and finished things via TKO at 4:18 of the first. Palhares had picked up victories over Mike Massenzio at UFC 142 via submission, a decision win versus Dan Miller at UFC 134, and win against Dave Branch at UFC on Versus 4 with a kneebar submission.

Lombard saw his twenty-fight undefeated streak come to an end with his UFC debut following a lack-luster split decision loss to Tim Boetsch at UFC 149. The former Bellator middleweight title holder had gone six years without a loss, with a career twenty-four finishes of his thirty-one wins.
