According to Dana White, his dealings with Nate Diaz on a personal had always been smooth sailing

Nate Diaz had always been vocal about not getting his due respect from the UFC. In a recent sit-down with ESPN’s Brett Okamoto, the younger Diaz brother claimed he was “ostracized” by the company after his rematch with Conor McGregor at UFC 202 in August 2016.

Dana White, however, is telling a different story. In fact, the UFC president says he has an outstanding relationship with Nate on a personal level.

“It’s funny – I did this interview the other day about Nate,” White said after Dana the recent Tuesday Night Contender Series (via MMA Junkie). “Nate’s one of these guys that, he has this personality where it’s like he’s saying ‘F—k you’ to The Man, but he never says ‘F—k you’ to The Man.

“Every time I’m around Nate, he’s a good kid, and I’ve always had a good relationship with Nate, a personal relationship with Nate.”

“He’s tough to deal with on the business side, but personally he’s a good guy,” he added. “And whatever you want to say about the Diaz brothers, when they say they’re gonna fight, they sign the bout agreement, and they show up and they fight. So I don’t see any problems.”

After a three-year absence, Diaz will return to action this Saturday, August 17th, when he co-headlines UFC 241 against Anthony Pettis. The event takes place at the Honda Center in Anaheim.
