Winning Strikeforce Title A “Dream Come True” For Nate Marquardt

Newly crowned Strikeforce welterweight Nate Marquardt made his promotional debut by earning a big knockout finish over previously undefeated fighter Tyron Woodley. In what should be characterized as “Fight of the Night” for the Portland, Oregon show, Marquardt was able to land a couple of big elbows that stunned Woodley and followed it up with a couple of big punches to end things in the fourth round. Winning the title is a “dream come true” for Marquardt who looks forward to defending his belt.
